are so good why are so many coming up for sale.:nenau

Are people dipping there toe's in the 1200 water:nenau "mind the air intake's lower"

Or going for the more reliable Air/oilheads.:nenau

Have some made into the 21st century and gone Orange.:nenau

Answers on a postage stamp:thumb2

Don't see the appeal myself :eek

Maybe the sales of the LWD were so good over Christmas that the 1150 owners see a need to upgrade now :nenau

Plus there's more sad tales of 11xx's breaking down, maybe on par with 1200's

Maybe it's a fashion thing. :nenau Loads of people seem to swap their mobile phones for the latest colour gimmicky wotsit.

Hey Thunder,

Have you and HRH started filming Wife Swap yet ?

Cashing-in on the demand? :nenau

I'm not certain that there is a real demand, it's perhaps just a function of the relatively small numbers of 1150GSA versus the 1200 models but there are a lot more 'wanted' ads appearing for 'good 1150GSA's' (whereas the 1200 models are relatively easy to find).

People can do what they want, sell their 1150GSA, buy a 1200 or even an orange thing. I'm keeping mine for the foreseeable future. :)

I Guess even the Newest is coming up for 4 years old and people like the reassurance of a warrenty and piece of mind of a new bike(:augie) I've had 2 GSA1150's and loved them at the time ,but for me now the GSA12 is a better bike ,especially as the 08 /09 models seem sorted ,they ride better are less vague at the front and have a great from the saddle feel that the 1150 was slightley lacking .My 2P :hide

It's simple, when peeps are wheeling them out the garage after the winter lay off, it's remembered how fecking heavy the bloddy things are :augie and how much a pain in the arse they can be to wheel about, so there chopping in for something lighter, after all, another winter is another year older :D

Ha ha 1150 vague at the front end?:D:D:D feck me I guess new bikes come with compulsory programable rose tinted specs:cool:

Let's face it, every 1150 owner secretly know their bike is shite and inferior in every way to the 1200 so let's all sell up,........... in fact I'm of to the dealers now........whether I make it back is another question:D

Iwhen peeps are wheeling them out the garage after the winter lay off, it's remembered how fecking heavy the bloddy things are

lets make sport, walk a lot, and not sit in the chair, eating popcorn and watch long way down.

if so, the fecking heavy bloddy thing is not so heavy

and if it is so! heavy, then it is impossible to ride away from tharmac. and if so- is this bike the right one? the uglyest GSA is a supershining tharmac queen, full of "offroad" equipment.

Y'know, it's just clicked:blast:blast

We all know, or at least should, that right back when the 1100 came out BMW produced a great bike that's both easy to ride and flattered the abilities of the rider.

It could be said that over the years they've become even more user friendly, just like modern cars and with that a loss of character.

We've now arrived at a point where a generation of GS'ers believe they are good riders:jes

if i was the sensitive 1200 mod i'd have this thread moved or closed. :D

I went Orange 12 months ago after riding one and finding out what a fantastic motor and responsive handling they had and SWMBO said...........

"it's the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden on! Much better than the GS"

I was also p*ssed at the poor quality finish on my old 1150, although I do miss the old thing!

Oh yes, I forgot to mention, mine is Barricade Orange :D
