Ha ha 1150 vague at the front end?:D:D:D feck me I guess new bikes come with compulsory programable rose tinted specs:cool:

No Just that compared to My GSA12 the last 1150GSASE I had felt like it had a Flat front tyre in the corners .The 12 has more feedback .I liked my 1150 but to ME the 12 is better.Do you light yer fire by rubbing sticks together and live in a Feckin cave?:augie:D:D:D:D

Funny I thought my 08 12GSA was a plastic barge and felt vague in the corners

Jumping on my 1150GSA and normality returned -predictable handling and a planted feel

In real terms there's probably not much weight difference between both types of Adv

People?................no 2 opinions are the same:augie

are so good why are so many coming up for sale.:nenau

Are people dipping there toe's in the 1200 water:nenau "mind the air intake's lower"

Or going for the more reliable Air/oilheads.:nenau

Have some made into the 21st century and gone Orange.:nenau

Answers on a postage stamp:thumb2

Don't see the appeal myself :eek

How much is it to service an LC8 motor?:augie

So they are owned by Ewbie saddo's who eventually find out they are rubbish and can't push them out the garage:comfort

Shame that:augie

Just sold my 2nd 1150GSA to Chad of this site. In between the two 1150's i dabble with a 12GSA. Nice bike to ride, but was off the road with the usual faults for a total of about 4 weeks out of the 4 months of ownership, it was sold on and straight back to a 1150. The only things ever to need doing on the 1150's were changing the original batteries at about the 5 year mark, apart from that never had a let down.

Only sold this one as i am saving for a house deposit, but shall be keeping an eye out for a half decent 1100 or 1150

I think the reason a lot of BMW bikes are for sale is because they are worth £££.

Went to a 2nd bike showroom and you could get most 06/07 plate bikes including an R1 for about £5-6k. Decent mileage etc.

In these times I reckon some people will be offloading the GSAs and getting something cheaper or not at all. A GSA in good nick should always sell for a reasonable price, not sure the same can be said for all bikes at the moment.

I've only had my 1150gsa for 2 weeks. I do like it, I really like it. Do I think its heavy..nah. Do I think its too heavy? Nope. If you realise its heavy and then just don't treat it with kid gloves its fine to ride.

for me my 1150gs is very good the most beautiful thing about it is you can fix it yourself, enough electronics for me, fuel injection is proven, fully adjustable suspension and easy to service plus it does the most important thing in the world it puts a smile on my face every time i ride it:thumb2:clap as for the vague front end i never had it tuck under unlike my blade

1150gs the best bike honda never made:ChrisKelly

i have test ridden 1200gs and 800gs and they just do not do it for me but then i do not like change for change's sake

The air intake could be the least of their worries.

Yesterday I was talking with a senior instructor, a mate of mine who's had his 1200adv less than 2 years, he also uses this forum.

It's just come back from Southport Super bikes after having £4000 worth of warranty work.!!!

On it's 3rd final drive
New wiring loom.
Speedo
Numerous discs
front wheel
Telelever ball joint worn and replaced.
Engine covers
etc etc:rolleyes:

If the 1150 is so good, why don't they race them against the sportsbikes at the Isle of Man TT races :nenau

40K
Now I'm aware that some will say either I made this up or only posted to have a dig. Not at all, just passing on the experiences of someone who doesn't just write gushing reports of how light and quick it is.

Oh, the electronically adjusted rear suspension was also replaced, it was changing it's settings from one set of bends to the next...and was replaced on the grounds it was dangerous:nenau

ERRRR cause its a Adventure bike not a racing bike, and i never said they are fast they just handle.I rode a 1200gs and yes they handle felt very light to me anyway but vague front end on the 1150gsa some of you guys need to lay off the cider put your pipe and slippers back beside the sofa and check your suspension set up.......:Motomartin
