R1150RT issue...

It was a burnt valve btw.
 
You wouldn't believe the amount of these bikes that i get in with burnt valves.
Remember these bikes run very lean and have a pretty crude motronic/fuel injection set up unit that can't compensate enough to stop them burning valves.

Hence why you fit Y pieces and open end cans and all that "go faster" shite at your (expensive) peril. :D
 
The last statement from Steptoe makes me glad I binned my K&N, now the bike is 100% standard. ( my bikes a '98, so it may still all go horribly wrong ).

I need to get a new head for the rhs. Aluminium around exhaust port is corroded. Can get a head from an 1100RT. Anyone know if these will fit the 1150RT?

I don't thinks so.

But those from any single spark R1150 might. (GS, R, RS or Rockster)

Is it not possible to have the head TIG repaired and re-machined? I would be surprised if a good engineering shop couldn't repair it.
