R12 G/S Enduro

Looks cool, am curious if it make any difference at motorway speeds!

I’m happy to report that after a six hour ride down to the Eurotunnel at Folkestone from Durham on mainly motorway and A roads the Enduro fairing made a huge difference . It reduces the wind noise and buffeting significantly, I’m really happy I decided to get it

I’m struggling to see much difference .

It only looks less than 10cm taller ?

I thought the same when I fitted it but all I can say is that for me it’s night and day difference !

It does look good . Might have to try one at some point but needs to have the enduro pack as standard bike felt too small .
It’s the only current BMW I’d consider buying though it’s still a bit expensive IMHO

I think you could be right , the designer certainly hit the mark for my height/riding position

You'd have think that they would have access to wind tunnel test facilities to sort this accurately - especially at the price for the part!

Have a safe, great trip.

Rode through France , Belgium , Netherlands and into Essen in Germany . The more I ride the R12 the more I like it , keeps pace with the R1250GS’s and Stelvios in the group no problem

How’s the tank range ?

How’s the tank range ?

Brimming the tank I’m getting about 120 miles and the fuel light comes on and I’ve done another 20 miles then bottled out and fuelled up , so I think the best you would get is around 150 . That said after a couple of hours I’m ready for a break anyway

How much is the Enduro fairing coming in at - can’t seem to find it listed anywhere, but think it will be my next mod.

TIA

A very wet ride up to Hamburg from Essen and a crash on the A1 about 30K from Hamburg which resulted in a huge queue of traffic so had about 3K of filtering . R12 didn’t miss a beat and the onboard computer is reporting 55mpg . Other than the last bit on the A1 kept to all the back roads so had some nice roads and some good coffee stops :-)

Is the Unit Garage a bigger tank or just a cover?
