Hi Folks,
I do not know where to post it but, I have recently acquired an R1200 cruiser, it has not been used for a few months and when it starts it coughs and splutters, but the it will rev okay !! then in an instant it will cough and splutter again !

Question any pointers, and is there an choke devise on this machine as I cannot find one ?...

Many thanks Mack...

There is no "choke" on any oilhead. It is fast idle lever and it would not cause symptoms you describe.
While most of the oilheads are similar, R1200C has some nuances that make it quite unique.
There is chromehead forum at www.chromeheads.org that you might want to check out.

Front Brakes

Hi Folks,
Here is a general question about the R1200c as it is a similar set to the 1150
I have just bled the brakes on the front and rear and have managed to get some kind of resistance for the rear brake..

The front brakes how ever, even after repeated flushing with no air coming out still remain next to useless and spongy!!
Could this be remedied by access and bleed of the ABS unit? Many thanks Mack...

Check down by your right foot that the ferrule on the end of your throttle cable is seated correctly in it's holder

Steptoe

Hi Folks,
I know it has been some time since I have been here, but is Steptoe still a moderator ? or has he handed

the reigns over to others now....

Many thanks Mack...
