I've always preferred the look of spokes, I guess its just a personal thing. I don't believe they're any more hassle to clean and besides some 80% of 1200GS's come with alloys. I think it completes the bike.

All the extras come from Nippy Norman (accept no substitutes)
grill http://www.nippynormans.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RAD-1200GS&variation=&aitem=62&mitem=110
nose beak http://www.nippynormans.com/prodinfo.asp?number=TAT-044-0310&variation=&aitem=2&mitem=2
engine bars http://www.nippynormans.com/prodinfo.asp?number=SWM-CB1200GS&variation=&aitem=2&mitem=2

And I'm as pleased as punch with the bike.

Lovely bike, exactly the same as mine except I am getting the grey saddle, I too prefer it to the 1200 ADV as its smoother lines ,more roady, like the cylinder protectors & screen on the ADV though! Haven't seen one with the grey side panels before but they look a treat, thanks for showing the photos. Roll on cheque clearance!

I think the silver/black contrast looks great. I'm waiting for a tinted screen to arrive from NN http://www.nippynormans.com/prodinfo.asp?number=WDE-CD1200GS-XT&variation=&aitem=8&mitem=8 which should enhance it further. I think the new 1200GSA does look great but I prefer my personalised GS. Besides I look forward to tackling the Nurburgring next year so the lighter the better in my opinion.

photo

I'll have to have one!... does the spending ever end? :D

It seemed expensive to me until I saw it fitted. IMO changes the look considerably; looks like it should have been fitted as standard :thumb

The Touratech beak cover is about £60. It will be interesting to see how BMW price their part for the Adv model. If its on a par with the price of the 1150 beak cover, then it should undercut the Touratech price by a fair margin.
