R1200GSA, 33 litres ?

Has anyone gotten 33 litres into their tank?
Just got my 2010 GSA back from BMW service and new fuel sender thingy.
Bone empty flashing for fuel.
Brimmed it and all that went in is 26.5L.
I have had 2 GSA and I have never got 33L into them.
Can the tank have 6.5L in when reading empty?

Not far Off 33 litres on many occasions.
Stick a can of fuel in your pannier and run it till its empty and see how many more miles to a tankfull you can get.
On another note. Mine told me I had a range of 95 miles left yesterday Knew it wasn't right so filled up and put 30 litres in. Defo not gonna get 95 miles out of 3 litres left in tank.

34l for me on quite a few occasions. The the gauge is useless, I wish they would just ditch it and put a level sensor and an electric reserve switch on it like my old exup has. Sensor get uncovered, tells the ecu to pulls the engine and you flick the switch to get normal running. Simple tech and your in no doubt your in reserve. This fuel strip thing is just rubbish and has never worked properly although I believe the 2011 bikes have reverted to a float but I haven't seen it for myself and don't think it is backward compatible if it is true.

35.3lt in Italy last year. When I filled up the computer showed 3 miles of fuel left in the tank.

I am carrying around too much fuel and i always forget to zero the milage at fill up. I would have thought BMW would have drained the tank when changing the fuel sender.

no need to unless it was to the brim as it all lifts out the top of the tank. What they should have done to do a proper job is calibrated the new strip which would have left you with a full tank. If they haven't recalibrated it then it might take a few tank fills to become accurate again or it might be stuck at its calibration right now.

Got 36L in mine last year at Tesco's in Wick, Northernmost Scotlandshire. Was almost running on vapour at the time, bike well past Zero on the computer.

34.5 litres on the way to its first service. Speedo claimed that I ran out of fuel 4 miles ago. I thought as it was near the dealers it was as good a chance as any to see just how reliable the gauge was. I was fairly impressed with the accuracy. I have not repeated the test since getting a new strip fitted in the tank when the first one became worn out.

my 2010 has 20000 kl and 3 fuel senders, most of my ownership has been with a dodgy gauge.
i wouldnt mind a good old fashoned reserve tap

I went until it ran out of fuel 100 km past the count down read zero, shook the bike still fuel in it, tipped the bike up on the side stand restarted and went another 10km brimmed it. took 32L

32.18l with the last digit still showing on the fuel gauge. It is not a cheap to fill the bike.

BMW quotes 33 liters in their specification for a 90% tank volume which amounts to 36.67 liters in total and yes I put 36 liters in.
