R1200GSA LC v Jaguar XF

Crikey, hope the rider isn't too badly hurt, that looked like it was quite 'a big one'!

Bloody hell hope the rider was ok that was a fair old hit, but bugger me he was on the wrong side of the road coming off that bend, with car cam footage like that not a chance biker mans getting anything out of his insurance company for that one.

It was an accident, so the insurance will pay out. But doubtful he'll get any compensation.:rob

Did the rider even try to lean the bike? Looks like he hit some water on the solid white lines, maybe he was scared to lean over 'cos it was wet??
It didn't even look as if he was going very fast (the car was at 30-35mph)???

i wondered if that were a slight screetch of tyres before the ABS did its thing, which sat the bike up?

Shit. the. bed...

Looks like he stood the bike up after driving through some standing water / white line. If he had some confidence in himself and the bike, he would likely have made the corner - not that that's going to bring any comfort. God I hope the rider is ok - hopefully the right cylinder took the brunt of the impact and not his leg...

Didn't imply it wouldn't but unfortunately with footage like that he will get,

Fault claim, no compo and probably loose a few years no claims, I feel for him.

Does anyone know if the rider was ok?

Yep...my thoughts too

Apparently this happened last week and the rider was air lifted to Hospital.

I hope that he's making a good recovery.

The rider was a complete cock, who ran out of what little motorcycling talent he possessed

What a tool of a GSA rider, utter twat

He made no attempt to get around the bend whatsoever, where was BMW's much vaunted 'cornering ABS' and 'dynamic braking' when he needed it:augie

That's a bit harsh JB.

Cornering abs and dynamic braking are on 2016 bikes onwards. That bike was a 2015.:rob

Nasty. The rider was already wrong side of double white lines, always baffled when I see that kind of road position without good reason.
Hope he is okay anyway.

Jb we've all had scary moments like that. He fucked up poor sod hope he's ok videos like this calm me down a bit.

Why?

If I was driving my Jag XF with the wife and kids and that complete knob of a GSA rider, came around the bend on the wrong side and hit us 'head-on' seriously injuring us, then what

Just because it's a bike rider, why should I feel sympathy?

He was riding above his skill level and either needs to give up bikes or get some advanced riding training, if he can still walk now
