As per the title - not particularly happy about that...

What can I tell you that might help?

Where, what time, Reg No to look out for. Post on local social media for reported sightings. What security did you have?

Any specific identifying features of it...luggage on or off, spotlights, trick bits etc. Doubt it'll be ridden about and more than likely in many parts by now but.....

Sorry to hear this, I would like you to tell us
"I have reported a stolen vehicle"
"I have gone out cruising nearby to see if its been dumped/rested around a quiet corner"
"I have knocked on neighbours doors to see if they have any video"

Feel your pain, I had my XR stolen from my “secure” garage last August. Like already mentioned, get the details of the bike on Stolen Motorbikes, FB etc.

Thank you all. - R1250GS Rallye (white). HV22XGN

Stolen from a windowless locked garage in Reading.

Extras:
Engine bars with additional Wunderlich head protector plates.
Panniers were on it. The panniers have a vertical red reflective strip on the rear and a black vertical strip on the front (that reflects white.
Mounting straps for the Touratech tank bag.

Most will be dumped nearby to check if there is a tracker on it before it gets moved on. Go have a wander around the local parks, alleyways etc.
Quite - and I've done that tour around the obvious local places, but there is quite a wide area to cover and whoever has taken it, I think, knew what they were coming for, so will have that angle covered.

Indeed so. And being in a busy urban area there are so many people of all walks of life that, at some point, could have clocked a clean, sparkly, 22-reg expensive thing being backed into the garage. And the person that clocked it doesn't need to be a bad person, just perhaps unwittingly one that let slip to someone that is. Who knows? The likelihood of finding out is very low.

It only needed someone 'normal looking' in a normal car (I say that because you'd likely clock a scrote in a shitheap or on a scoot) to have followed you down the road one day, see you appraoch the garage and pull up outside and make a note...for a job on it a week/month later.

I know this doesn’t help, but, for anyone else. My mate has bought those credit card trackers, for wallets or bags/suitcases. He has hidden them on 2 of his bikes. He says they have slight issues but work well enough should the bike be stolen. Not expensive either.
To the OP, hope your bike is recovered.

Not sure where you live but look for Export yards with folk filling containers for Export. Alarming number of stolen cars, bikes and plant simply stacked in boxes and shipped out. Worth trawling about but I’d imagine probably in a container already.

Had my 2011 TC GSA stolen in May last year...door and locks cut through with an angle grinder like they were putty!
Get around the area looking for CCTV and you may find something...I found mine had been shoved in the boot of a Nissan Primera...350lbs and full of fuel!...the little fuckers don't give a shit!
Never seen again so not only did i get whacked on bike insurance, the cnuts hit me on car renewal too!
Hope you have better luck than me.

Let’s just wander into a bed of organised crime as a middle aged overweight GS rider - and say excuse me could I look through your containers please as I think you may have stolen my bike…….

Sounds like a plan ….

Me, I’d phone the police, get a crime number and report it stolen to my insurance company…. Get a payout and buy another…… which is what I’d suspect 99.9% would on here…… the 0.01% being John Wick who would of course take out all the bad guys single handed

Rolling over doesn’t make it better!….why bother locking your hard earned toys away in a locked garage?
Just leave the keys in your bike with a full tank of fuel and have it all ready for the scumbags to nick it!
The problem with just claiming off your insurance means increased premiums for everybody not just for the insured biker.
I still think the house holder should legally be able to do anything to secure their property.

No. But it keeps you alive.

A Bike is a thing than is easily replaceable. We have insurance to cover events which may mean it no longer exists. Why pay for it and not use it?

Like I say, just leave your bike outside your garage with the keys in if thats how you feel.
Being on a fixed income (pension) I don’t take kindly to having increased premiums if it’s not my fault.
You are correct, nothing is worth losing your life for, but I strongly believe an eye for an eye!
