R65 Battery , Have you got one.,,

I could , Just go to one of the Dealers , but i would rather have a trawl and see where comes up best bang for the Buck !....

I am after a Battery that actually fits in my R65 Battery tray..
The Dims are
Length : 180MM
Width : 78MM
Height can vary , but not much higher than 125MM ..
Gel or Std ,, ONe that actually fits is my preferance.

I have come up with several , but when you search the actual dims of each batt it wont fit ..
I already have Varta : 518 014 015 ,, On moto bins site they say they have a "" Smaller Exide"" but i cant see the Numbers to compare it to others.
Motobatt : MBTX30U ,
neither of which will fit in my tray...

Any pointers ?

If it is the same size as the G/S battery Mottobatt have one which fits.

The Mottobatt site has all the dimensions of their batteries, and also of the ones the are designed to replace - the 51813? 51914? are the BMW alternatives they have a replacement for.

After a lot of Faffing about , I found the battery that actually fits the
cradle and has the right cranking power..

The C.C.A has to exceed 220
I know there is an Exide , but its £50 more expensive..
