R80 Bitza... take 2!

Well I had to modify it a little.. the front mount had no top so I had to make up a little bracket to bolt over the top and the back mounts dug into the seat so I had to trim those back a bit (it then sits on rubber tube round the frame and tied down).. Not perfect but solid and I think it looks the part on this bike.

MOT..

Well.. I took the old girl for her mot at 4pm.. I'm home.. and she...

drum roll...

failed.. :(

But.. only on one thing! The indicators.. which were working when I arrived at the mot test center (they worked when I turned in to the road).. had obviously decided to have a sense of humor and decided not to work when the mot tester tried them! They are still not working now.. So I guess It's time for the multimeter to come out..

Hey ho.. at least its something simple (I hope) :)

On a different note though (and probably more worrying) there is a really loud whine when the gearbox is under load... I'd not noticed it last year (but then I did only do less than 20 miles) and it wasn't there before I rebuilt the bike.. hmmm.. and before you ask.. yes there is new oil in the box, driveshaft and bevel box...
Did wonder if it might be the clutch as the lever/adjustment on the back of the box was the only thing I disturbed when I transferred the engine into the new frame.

Hey ho.. well I've got till monday for a free retest... fingers crossed :)

update.. whine now sorted.. I'd been stupid and got the clutch adjustment completly wrong.
Indicators now sorted.. the flasher relay had died.. talk about bad luck!

So.. here it is with new exhuast (going to have a proper one made up at a later date but this will do for now) but still without the rack (need to figure out the mounts as yet)...
