well the filler is coming of, mixture of shock and rubbing
wonder if there is a hole under it

Not off mine it didn't...mine was all metal

Fork braces...ended up with to many and had to sell one in the end

Concrete mixer

An alternative to shaking nuts/gravel in the tank manually is to tape the tank to a concrete mixer and letting it do the work for you. Run the mixer in different angles so that rust is removed in all areas of the tank. Haven't tried it myself but I've heard that it works

for removing the rust - suggest a light weight chain (bog / bicycle / punk adornment type ) - much easier to get the feckin thing out of the tank after.

Now that is a bloody good idea.
