If one was to own a R80RT from late 1985, that only has one disc brake, what calipers from other models would fit the throttle side and and what master cylinder, and would anyone have the bits available to convert! :augie

like this for instance, apologies for using a most excellent pair of pictures out of the fsaw section!

You'd best get a pair of calipers, as the single disc caliper is bigger than the twin calipers used on the twin disc monolever bikes. And they don't do a bigger caliper that fits the other side so you can't match them up.

Ok, I seem to have bought a set of calipers :thumb

now on to discs, are the discs to fit only the R80/R100 monolever bikes the only ones that fit, or do discs from the early K75/K100 fit,

and master cylinders, I guess it will need changed, it looks to be a separate item from the lever going on pictures of replacements, again is it a specific item to the R series monolevers,

Thanks for the help so far! :thumb

Www.realoem.com gives all the info you need. Find the part number your interested in and then put it into the part number search to find all the bikes it was installed on.

a lot of the mono parts are interchangeable with the k bikes.

I did that thanks, it appears that the front wheel is the same, but the discs have a different part number, so have the sliders, as does the master cylinder, so I assume the discs have a different diameter or offset!

Having checked the part numbers, the easiest seems to be to fit r100 monolever items, they share the forks and wheel,

This may have to wait though,

I have to replace the pushrods seals, so I may fit 1000cc barrels and pistons, if I can find some cheap, whilst in there!

Already spent to much this month :beerjug:

hallo I can du you a brembo 4 poter to fit your bicke ! not to expensive ever and if your not happy just send it back and i will refund you thats not a problem - postage

I had already worked out that I need either R80 or R100 discs, R65 discs seem scarce, I was planning on fitting used discs and master cylinder, so I will have to stick with the single disc brake until such a time as I can source them in good usable condition for cheap money,

the 100Rs calipers I have seem to be the same calipers as those fitted to my lemans2, and the single caliper on the 80Rt looks very like the caliper on my California T3, though I don't have anything other than a picture of the 80Rt to compare with at this moment!
