R80RT Speedo Cable gearbox seal

PS Your bike is freakishly clean (pic in my 'broken exhaust stud' thread) :D
I trained in the Sam Utting school of motorcycle cleaning. "Mind you don't forget to clean that main-stand now!" :rob ;)

Don't forget to use the K & N filter cleaner fluid and the K & N filter oil...they arn't designed to be cleaned with parrafin and then lubed with 2 - stroke oil ( read about these ages ago ). Also, the K & N breathes easier so you may be running a tad weak. Not sure how an under powered airhead can benefit from a K & N filter..although a tuned sports bike would gag for one !

A OEM filter lasts about 12,000 miles anyway..almost as cheap as the oil/cleaning kit from K & N :thumb2

I've got a K+N runs fine, no probs at all.. I do use normal oil tho' on servicing..
NOT K+N's specially squeezed from gnats abdomens..overpriced shite..

What, you've fitted your trailer with a K & N ? :D :hide

Had K & N on the microlights I've owned.....Inspector wouldn't certify it if you coffed to using 2-stroke oil on the filter and had to use gnats abdomens  ( ahem, being a scouser, no coff, no job :augie)

:blast:blast:blast

...is the breather bolt. It is unaffected by the seal.

Oh I see!!!!!! I'd assumed the bolt was under the rubber boot. Hence my thoughts.

Thanks Gentlemen, maybe I should look a little more closley at my bike. Might learn something :blast
