Hello

I had a new R80ST back in the 80s and would like to know what they are worth now. I want a standard bike.

I have seen a couple with dealers for about £3K and would like to know if that is a reasonable price to pay.

£2500 to £3500 for a nice well looked after one with low mileage, they are starting to get harder to find now, although they do appear on eBay every now and then.

Firstly, Welcome Boxer Boy. I'm just 1/2 hour up the A10 from you.

Like you, I also had an ST new back in 1985, bought from Browns in Ashford, Kent.

Alway regretted selling, so in 2011 I found one, an abandoned project, but all complete, powder coated frame, new tyres, etc.
I paid less than £2k for it and spent some more on it, but more time than money making stainless parts, respraying, new badging, graphics etc.

I would think that for £2.5 to £3k you ought to find a reasonable one, but depending on your objectives be prepared to spend money to get it in the condition that you might want.
Don't forget its a 28 year old motorcycle!

There was one in the Old Bike Mart recently, don't know if the chap (private seller) still has it. Probably worth a phone call - 01302 780601. 35,000 miles, heated grips, flyscreen, tax, MOT. Looks ok in the picture. £2300

Have a look in the ST thread sticky. My ST is last picture.

You can always give me a shout for help, advice etc as your location is close to mine.

R80ST

Thanks. I got mine from BMW dealer in Cambridge, sadly no longer there. I currently have a R1100S, but would like to add an R80ST to the garage.
