Hi Mike,

I use a DAB/FM Pure 1500 portable radio with my autocom. The digital is brilliant when I'm in an area with signal otherwise I use it as an fm radio. They are just trialing DAB in Ireland with just a multiplex in Dublin and another in Dundalk.

I have in a handle bar bag and can switch it for my mp3 player when I'm stopped by just tranfering the earphone plug.

thanks for that - ive never heard anyone talking about DAB but it seemed like a good idea

dont know what the signal is like in northern england/scotland but if I get one that covers FM as well I should be sorted

cheers

I use a DAB/FM Pure 1500 portable radio with my autocom.

I'm looking at getting a Pure Personal 1500 DAB myself. Does it switch between DAB and FM if the DAB drops out?

Also, the FM has RDS - does it select the strongest signal for a station as you travel across country - the same as a car RDS set?

Thanks.

Press a button on the front to switch from FM to DAB and back again. It has RDS which is why I bought it as I thought it would autoseek like a car radio, but it doesn't :(

The one area covers my commute and I use the joystick style front button to tune up and down and change the volume. No bother with summer gloves.

Would love a radio that finds the stongest signal, but that only seems to come with car radios. No where to put one on a GS or is there?
