Right here's the story;

New bike stripped and all bits taken for paint yesterday (by me)

Call today from painter - "we can't get the paint as its too new to have a code that ICI / Glasurit recognise yet."

"Oh sh*t what can I do then?"

"If you have got a panel in that colour we could match it with the spectrum anylyser"

"Yeh but I haven't got a panel 'cos you're about to paint them!"

I call Rainbow and chat to Steve Treherne (service manager) who, without hesitation, offers "come down in 20 minutes, I'll get Richard to take the front mudguard of an RT in the showroom and you can borrow that to get the match."

3 hours later and the paint is matched and mudgaurd back on the RT

LARGEchoccy cake required for the lads methinks.

I never cease to be amazed by this dealership.

Thanks
Sherpa ;)

Me too..............

Saw you last Fri pm John, stripping your bike down for painting when I came in to order a TT part for them to get in.

Ended up buying a new bike off them on Sat - after a hypothetical chat on Fri afternoon with Shaun (owner)

They make dealing with them toooo easy, so you just end up coming away with a lot more than you went in for.......

eh!

Rainbow

Needed some information about ways to lower the seat height of an Adventure. Shaun really went out of his way to show and explain to me the possible alternatives. He knows more about BMW motorcycles than anyone else I know and with no "hard sell" at all.
Although I was only passing through, I found this dealership excellent in every way and most helpful. Credit where it's due....

Kev

Understand Kev (Salesman) has left, gone to sell Trucks near his home, shame nice guy got me "12" off him.

New Salesman, long hair anybody know him?

Called Ian and he was at Jefferies 5-6 years ago, a spell @ Williams - with a bit of trading used bike stock in the middles...........good guy and knows Beemers inside out - fits into the Rainbow 'mode' well and has been mates with Shaun for 20+ years

Popped in and had a coffe with Kev where he now works in immingham , seems to be doing very well.
Good luck to him :thumb

New Salesman ( long hair) Ian seems a good chap

Bought my first GS (1100) off Ian whilst he was at Jefferies back in '98. I agree with JB...top bloke, and will fit in well at Rainbow.
