Rallye Sport - Regular or Sport suspension?

I was the same, said after the last Rallye that would be it, but this one did catch my eye thats for sure
It really wants to be as good as it looks for me to have traded my seriously loaded XR in for it !!

What's the pros and cons compared to the XR ?

Dam , can't believe I'm asking these questions . Noooooooooo !!!

Pros so far after only 80 miles
Less vibes through the bars and foot pegs
Revs a lot lower at motorway speeds
Heated grips are by far better
No scaffolding to hold panniers on
Panniers and top box a lot nicer

Cons
its a lot slower
Quick shift no where near as smooth as the XR
its a lot slower
no storage under the seat of the GS
its a lot slower
can easily get at the battery of the GS if you want to nick it
its a lot slower

Is it a lot slower ? .

Thanks

Sold it on 3300 vibes got worse after the BMW mod was done, I left the heavyweight bar ends on then took them off to sell it, it was very vibey on the way to the dealers

A shame really . I nearly bought one .

A pretty FFS impressive answer from someone that started this by asking a question.

I asked he question before I bought the bike. Now I've done 1000 miles on mine, I've realised that half the crap in the bike mags is just that. They are saying it's too firm for the road. It isn't.

Surely it has an off road setting on the ESA if it is too hard for some ?

It's only a lot slower while you still have your licence

Review from the TheMissendonFlyer and the guy is a complete idiot. He thinks the dealer changed the seat, windscreen and knobby tyres ""to make it more accessible to more riders". He always has to be right even when it's pointed out to him he is completely wrong...as usual

Quite like his videos but he does make a few mistakes! He does seem overly complimentary to most bikes, suppose that's how he gets some of the test rides?

Still he's better than most on YouTube

I used to like his stuff but I think his ego has become too big.

It was me that pointed out to him that he was riding the Rallye Sport not the Std Rallye and that the price he quoted was over £2k lower than the cost of the actual bike
