Random connector

I am still getting to know the bike and while washing her today, on the battery cover side, I came across the attached connector. Any idea what it is? Looks like a protective cap is missing.

It looks like a battery tender/heated clothing/compressor fly lead from the battery, non oem

You give no information. If your bike is a brand new 1250 and you have found that then it must be factory fitted. If you are the 5th owner of an older bike then it could be anything that we can all guess at. Do we have to guess the bike first?
 
The Sachs canister tells you it's not a new bike.

As others have said, it's a female molex plug, the type that's used for connecting older Optimate and similar chargers to.
 
Can't believe I did not twig to the optimate connector ... just took off the battery cover and it is indeed the fused cable.

It’s not an optimate lead, they use an SAE type. That’s of an Oxford optimiser
 
The old optimate's use molex, like that one. it's only the newer ones over the past 3-4 years that use SAE.
