The data of the draft financial statements for the annual financial year just approved by the Board of Directors of Piaggio & C. S.p.A.
The numbers
After 2018, which saw sales increase by 9.2% and turnover increase by 4.3% reaching 1,389.5 million euros, the past year has confirmed the good numbers, increasing them.
The growth in 2019 is 9.5%, with revenues reaching 1,521.3 million euros.
The important figure to be contrasted is that of sales, which grew by only 1.3%: an indicator that makes it clear that in 2019 higher value models were sold than in the previous year.
The two-wheeler segment naturally has an important impact on the balance sheet, with 399,600 units and a turnover of 1,055.1 million euros, with a 10.1% growth, also calculating accessories and spare parts.
Aprilia and Moto Guzzi end the year with a turnover growth of 24.6%.
The credit goes to the public's good response to the Moto Guzzi V85 TT, but not only.
Aprilia RSV4, Shiver 900 and SX 125 also registered a good increase.
If net financial debt remains practically the same as in 2018, with 429.7 million euros, profits before taxes, interest and amortization are growing: 227.8 million euros, with + 12.9% and an EBITDA margin , the value on the profitability of operating processes, at 15%. The best result since 2006.
