Someone posted this on facebook earlier today. I said it would be at home on a fairground ride. Somebody replied saying I was one out of 115 who didn’t like it. He must have actually counted the posts. Sad git.

I’ll arm wrestle you for it ....... I like the colour . :thumb2

I got bad arms... :tears

:D

I prefer the Yellow ones...
But any colour would be OK.. ;)

Many moons ago I took a test ride on one at 3X.
But the fueling was so bad from the factory it was kin terrible. :blast
So i bought a new GPz900r instead. ( woooooooosh) :green gri

But plenty of chips available now for the fueling..

Yes or No...?

What will it make...?

Having given it a loser look, this could turn out to be a bargain and possibly a silk purse from a sow’s ear.
BTW welding is top notch.

I’d ..
Ditch the rear end and put a single seat on it.
Different tank to hide the top rail.
Ditch the enormous clocks and binnacle.

Whadderyerekon, salvageable?

You're tempted aren't you :D

It just goes to show that just because you're a good engineer/fabricator it doesn't follow that you have any idea of good design.....what a horrendous looking thing :D I mean even the tank looks to be well made but my god it looks dreadful........

I get where you're coming from re the changes you'd make and sort of agree but the rear end would need some proper 'tidying up', as in the frame rails (sub frame) would I think need removing completely and some heavy modification.
That battery box and what ever it is under the gearbox both need to go too. If any bike was crying out for the 'no battery/electrics' look it's this one.

I'm also trying to work out what's going on with the swing arm/drive shaft; I think it's been extended but can't quite tell?

I reckon if it were me I'd get it as low as possible with cut'n'shut front forks & modded rear and turn it into a single seat drag bike with a proportional 'too small' petrol tank, single seat/bumb-stop cowl and old skool dustbin fairing ~ even then it'd probably still look shit :D

Andres

I’m with you there Andres, some good skills but pi55 poor aesthetics, still he must have loved the vision in his head.

The fact that the frame is chromed only makes change more complicated. I’ve no idea about that box, hiding some exhaust nastiness?

No, it’s a pass from me.

It does look well crafted but seems to ignore some basic engineering principles - I was always taught that frame tubes should be straight where possible. Where, I wonder, does your average MOT tester start with something like this?

Obviously got a very different idea of what makes a motorcycle pleasing to the eye from the rest of us.

Looks like someone got a pipe bender for Christmas, trouble is he didn’t take his labrador and stick into garage. But as said far better welding skills than me, so I’ll get me coat😳

I suppose it’s taken him 13 years to get his head round that it’s only worth £500 and then only to someone looking for a spare engine or gearbox!

Whilst we are on the subject of oddball Guzzis
