Good share that, Ash.

Knowing Italy and the Italian market, that size bike would do fine for most riders/users.

My Italian friends/folks/ex-colleagues tend to regard anything above 1000cc as really for the "serious long distance" types or the better-heeled adventurer types. A 1260 Multistrada is regarded as a very serious, classy bike, as would be a 1200/1250 GS.

They also seem to keep bikes for longer, use them more, and don't have or use PPI schemes as much.... from what I know, most people buy the bike and keep it.

Standard Spada 1 fairing which works well, although if you have long legs you have to remove the lowers.

Very good point, and by "Long legs" that can be an inside leg of more than 29" in my case :) In the end, best to do away with all the fairings unless you really want them :) (As I did).

Ash on his first SP3....
Truly superb bike & she took me all over Europe 5 times including back to the factory in August 2003...
Loved that bike...

Only sold because after my bike accident in May 2005 the medical bods said I would never ride again because of the extent of my injuries...

What did they know :green gri

Not that it's easy mind...

I would have thought the faster you go the more you need to look where you’re going :D

when visiting a family in le Marche a few years ago I was asked ifid like to visit a friend of a friends house over there as he had a few bikes I might like to see.

low and behold a fine collection of loads of great bikes mainly Guzzis . not highly polished but some real beauties
