I've moved the tank around to allow fitting if a new battery

Every thing back were it should be (including the throttle sensor thingy). But the tank is sitting unevenly at the front - where it meets the rubbers The left is ok, but the right seem sto be sitting 3 or so mill too high ...

Are there locators at the front of the tank that I have missed / dislodged??

Thanks

And I have tried search ....

Get a torch and peer under the tank. You'll probably find that a fuel line or a breather pipe is fouling somewhere.

You could be standing on a piece of vegetable, making even the horizon seem wonky.

Sprouts can cause uneven viewing platforms, check to see they're not scattered carelessly across the floor.

Lettuce hope it doesn't come to a head
turnip the tank and see if there's mushroom to spare... and check for leeks too... has it a runner bean?

I did this yesterday funnily enough and had same problem! Turned out that the black rubber at the joint between tank and beak had nipped on the concealed inner edge under theyoke area. Shunt the tank back a bit and take a look? Good luck, heavy aren't they?

Esp when filled with fuel!!

I've take the spare vegetables from the floor area and also the lounging Marmots and Martins ....
It's still uneven.

admittly I haven't check the far wall to se if that is true!

ok - no carrots under the tank , nothing obvious fouling the tank.

The front two location mounts are in the mounting brackets
The rear mounting point is sitting central in the oval slot ....
But the right hand side if the tank appears higher than the left side ... and there is a gap (that you can feel through the rubber gasket/mounting strip thing ... so now I'm a little perplexed - have I missed something obvious, or to I just torch the bastard thing

The tank os also able to move slight ( which I wasn't aware of it doing before) if you hold the front of the tank , it can be lifted up slightly ... is that normal??

Any suggestions before I have to consult BMW,

No snags, nothing under the tank ...
But it moves .... should it??
The left hand front retainer moves more that the right( but then the rear mounting bolt is on the right so this may be normal.

Is what I have within normal tolerances?
