Just wondered if anyone had rebuilt or re-upholtered a Sargent seat.

Mine has done around 40k with a very fat arse indeed stuck on it and it has become pretty uncomfortable. There's a tear and the piping has deteriorated and frayed off.
In summary: Fooked.

All said it's probably just another seat to get re-upholstered (recommendations welcome also to whom) but just wondered if anyone out there had done it or done anything different.

Cheers :beerjug:

If it has become uncomfortable it sounds like it is a problem with the foam deteriorating as well as the cover.

Try a specialist like Tony Archer /Saddlecraft or similar ,as it may require new foam.

I would look for someone local who is recommended on various forums so you can take it in a speak direct as to what you need

email sargent in the uk i no you can get replacement covers from them for about £40 maybe you can send it to them for a full refurb :)

It might just be me , but i tried to get sargeant uk to make a few adjustments after buying a brand new one from them, but had no interest from them whatsoever.

+1 on Tony Archer.

Even better if you visit him as you can tell him what the problems are and what you would like done.

It's a few miles from London, but it's worth it.

Cost me under £100 for my stock seat to be made comfy.
