But it does have a natural slowing down factor - to reduce the sting! I grit my teeth, and pull my neck buff up a bit, and take a spare or two for when it gets sodden.... but I know what you mean.I use a J-Cruise and it is perfect for all of the scenarios the OP wants. Good all round vision, drop down sun visor and large visor for wet weather protection. An open face in the pissing rain is no fun.........

Stoopid is trying to ride fast in stinging rain.Stoopid is as stoopid does.....
Fast is relative to ones ability......Stoopid is trying to ride fast in stinging rain.
Who said I have any ability. I was doing a steady 60 coming back from Northumberland this morning. Plenty fast enough.Fast is relative to ones ability......
I have been looking at the Scorpion open face. They sound as though they are well made - how is the interior holding up? The Bell I have is proper leather interior, not cloth.

Thank you for all the suggestions, the Shoei came through for comfort and build quality, although the Scorpion had a better interior, it wasn't as comfy. The HJC helmet was great, but it pressed in various spots and so was discounted from the final shortlist. The Shoei is on order. You come into money all this new stuff.Called in to Moto Central today on the way home. Wearing my damaged Bell and cheap sunglasses (Bolle Raider Tactical) I was looking for replacements. I ended up with photochromic yellow Cruiserz by Ugly Fish (thanks Doc!) and have ordered the Shoei open face, they didn't have it in Small in a sensible colourway... the one they had was painted to look like wood.... I have a wood effect helmet already, an Arai Giga airbrushed by Richard Carden (Ultimate Airbrush) and it is all over timber, so I look like a woodentop, which is apt.Thank you for all the suggestions, the Shoei came through for comfort and build quality, although the Scorpion had a better interior, it wasn't as comfy. The trike insurance will be coughing up for the new helmet. I needed new glasses anyway....and I have done a fair few scissors and a day of gardening! ££££You come into money all this new stuff.![]()

Remove the main visor from a Shoei J-Cruise (or similar) and just use the drop-down internal sun visor.I am thinking of this type, so that I don't have to change for night riding. Heading over to Fat Skeleton to try their on over my helmet today... any thoughts, pros, cons please. I ride in a an open face, so visors are a non starter. I have a visor and have never even attached it - hateful thing.
Non of mine have ever worked in the car!Reactolite materials, as on a car it's fairly easy to whip them off as you come to a tunnel. On a bike with a helmet on - no chance.
