This idea is certainly gathering some momentum ; case of the old rolling stone etc etc.

Looking through my calender I can do the following weekends this side of summer
May 13-15.
June 17-19.

Looking at the UKGSER calender, there is the Salopian event organised for the May weekend (Shropshire), and one in Devon on the June dates.

General query - do we want to try and piggy back on one of these if space is still available?

If Shropshire, I don't know any trails local to there but with a bit of road work we could do a couple of days of good mixed road and trail riding. There could also be people planning suitable rides that we could join in with.

If Devon - never ridden there so I'd just be along for the ride and the cream teas!

or we could go it alone and find a site in North Wales.

My preference would be to try and join in with the Salopian and devise a suitable rideout from there. It could be good; it could be fun; it could be dirty!

Once dates and location sorted, we just need to figure what sort of riding we want to do

all options sound good,just bearing in mind my G650 Xc still has tourances fitted, the Hondas got some dirt tyres but would be great to bring the X Country to an event like this and get a hoard or Rotax thumpers starting together.

Yep, I may well be at the trials weekend as well.
I'd rather do something just for XCs in June.

Can't do those dates - a mate of mine has signed me up for the HUMM this year so will otherwise engaged. Probably need a new thread with a poll for the dates?

On nights 1-3 July so would be able to join up for the day on Sat if I can't get the weekend off. Wouldn't want to lead one straight off nights though.

Perhaps put a poll up as suggested by Paul (?) (however you do that) to see which weekend is best for people, or work towards one in the future (Sept perhaps?).

I'd still be happy to meet up in May even if it's only for the minority. Will be fun with however many can make it.
