Really simple Q

Going to change the oil and filter and diff oil on monday for the 1st time. Do the drain plugs have washers that have to be replaced each time. If so I'll motobins this afternoon.

And you should.


Although some will say there`s no need to,that they don`t change them,etc etc etc.


If you get a 'Service Kit' they`re in that along with everything else you need.

the washers are what is termed as 'crush washers' it is advisable to change the washers,the filters i have bought from bmw come with a assortment of washers for the gear box,rear drive,&sump plug.i am not sure if the after market ones have washers included.
