Whilst tinkering in the shed this evening I have discovered that my brake light is not working when I use the rear brake pedal.
The light works fine when I pull the front brake lever.
Fuse 1 serves the dash backlight and the stop light. The fuse is intact.
I removed the bolt holding the switch in place, cleaned the blade on the switch and sprayed it with WD40, to no avail.
At this stage I think the switch is fecked and needs replacing with a new part available from Motorworks for £23.29.
Before I shell out, has anyone else has similar problems and found the solution to be other than a new switch?
TIA.

), brakelight should come on. With the ignition switched on, of course.
