Just thought I'd mention to people to regularly check their rear brake 'inspection window'
The pad broke through to show the disc which is the indicator to have them replaced, as the manual says.
What the manual doesn't say is that you should probably do it in the next 50miles or so. When I finally took the pads off at least a quater of the friction material had broken away (the part surrounding the 'inspection window') and there was barely half a mil left.
So check your pads and see the disc through the window, get them sorted pronto.
