What size are the four splined nuts that hold the year diff on please? Also, where would I find such a socket to fit them?

They are nothing special just a Bi Hexagonal nut

I think they are 13 mm Try the ring end of a combination wrench or ring spanner on them

They do get a bit tight so a long skinny bi hex socket well tapped on should help and or heat

Or a good brushing of the visible threads and soaking with some lubricant and chisel the feckers off and replace them

12 mm. I just took my diff off this afternoon, R80 Mono. Same as 80g/s. My ring spanner didn't fit in the gap and even the socket was difficult to get onto one of the nuts. Where very tight. But gentle back/forth with the ratchet got them off. I'll be putting new ones back on though.

Val.
