So took the HP out for a play today - mine is still running on the airshock. Always thought the way it soaked up bumps was pretty impressive. Today I ran it on quite a bit higher pressure than I normally do 105/110 PSI. At that pressure, I have not a chance in hell of reaching the ground! The first surprise was that it didn't feel that much harder over the bumps (damping still set to soft). But the big difference was in being able to use the throttle to keep the front wheel light. I think that when I was running the suspension softer, the throttle was simply making the rear end squat...
I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this... and how going to aftermarket shocks effected this, if at all.
Also - it seems that, yet again, the top of the shock, is wearing and therefore getting loose, so extra motivation to get an aftermarket shock.
