You do not have the fitment for varios. Plastic is thicker where the wider mounting holes are.
Ok i didnt know if i had it or not since i didnt specify varios on the original order for the bike. I just assumed i didnt have, and that the bracket would fit and it did .....pheww !!You do not have the fitment for varios. Plastic is thicker where the wider mounting holes are.

I fitted one today- no problems. The instructions say plainly that this is for fitting to OE racks only.Ok i didnt know if i had it or not since i didnt specify varios on the original order for the bike. I just assumed i didnt have, and that the bracket would fit and it did .....pheww !!![]()
Yeah i was prepared to use force as it said in instructions, however none was required, well, very little anyway. But given the rather flimsy plastic on the OEM rack, im glad i did. Glad it all went together ok, Delboy.

IMG_1813 by Derek Macdonald, on FlickrClass thanks must get one ordered. I take it you needed longer bolts at the back?

All the bolts you need are supplied with the bracket. Beware, if your bike has the oem vario pannier rear grab handles this bracket will not fit. Only the standard handles suit this bracket

Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to post pics or other attachments so I'll try an describe how I fitted them.
Please refer to the fitting instructions for the Givi SRA5108 top plate (ink: https://media.givi.it/XN-Prodotti/istruzioni/SRA5108.pdf) and those for the SW Motech reinforcement (link https://sw-motech.com/cosmoshop/default/artikelpdf/gpt_07_782_18000_b.pdf.)
I'll use the item nos listed in the instruction docs with prefixed with either G, denoting the Givi item no or S denoting the SW Motech item no. So, for example the Givi SRA5108 plate, listed in the Givi parts list as item no 1, I will call G1, etc.
I worked out how to put them all together by reading both sets of instructions and working out how they would fit with each other. The manufacturers' instructions give full details of how each part should be fitted individually, including using loctite and details of any required torque settings. The notes below are based on my memory of how I put everything together on my bike. I can't guarantee that I haven't made a mistake so it is the responsibility of anyone trying to do the same to work out for themselves how to do it properly and safely. I'm afraid I can't take any responsibility for how anyone else chooses to assemble the components or for any consequences arising.
Anyway, this is how I did it:
1. Follow the SW instructions to dismantle the original BMW rack, and to fit thereinforcement unit S1 into the lower part of the original BMW rack..
2. Fix the the lower part of the BMW rack and S1 to the bike using bolts S2 and washers S3, and use the original BMW bolts through the front grab handle mountings.
3.Fix Givi part G2 to at top rear of BMW rack using bolts G4 which pass through holes in plate G2, through G10 spacers between underside of G2 and original BMW carrier. and then through the matching holes of part S1 and are fixed underneath using washers S6 and nuts S5.
4. Bolts G5 go through the front holes on plates G1, through spacers G10, then through the equivalent holes in the front of the original BMW carrier and are are secured underneath using nuts S8.
You may find that bolts G4 are not quite long enough. I replaced them with countersunk M6 screws x 50mm long (I think).
Hope that is of some help. My apologies again for not posting pics.
Followed your instructions to the letter and all fitted perfectly, thanks so much
