Cos I`ve just bought some Distanzias & they look like they`ve got loads more tread on than my Pilot roads did when they were new. 8mm rear & 5mm front.
I must say the Avons are a good looking tyre that suits the look of a GS :mmmm
I haven`t tried them yet but who cares when they look this good  :D

Cheers! That extra 1mm should get another 1k miles out of these more than the pilots :D

i just love those exact science skills BiG Lee :thumb2

LOL @ appropiate smilie :D

:D
I took the bike to work today via my twisty test route ;) & bloody hell what a different bike it feels! If I paid £600 for new suspension & it felt like it does now I`d be very happy :thumb2 The bike feels much lighter on it`s feet & turns in eagerly while holding a line much better :beerjug: Theres less effort needed to turn it & flick it from one side t`other :clap

£150 VERY well spent IMHO

Theres a down side as well Lee, I recently changed from a few of years of TKC's to Avon's. My fuel consumption has gone to hell  And the charging from road to dirt has needed a serious rethink, as in "shit, I can't do that anymore". great though, love the speed and handling again :D

I`ve gone the other way Noddy, from Mich Pilot road tyres back to the dual sport type :thumb I`m surprised the change from road to ds tyres makes the bike feel much better, I would`ve thought it would be the other way round although when BiKE mag tested them they did say the Pilots didn`t suit the GS & the Avons were a much better suited tyre & I agree :thumb2 :thumb2

Now I went from Distanzias to Michelin Pilot Roads and in my opinion especially in the wet there is no comparison, thats why the last set of half worn Distanzias ended up as landfill.
