Anyone know what the rear wheel bolt torx size is? Picked up a screw in my 600 mile old tyre :blast

Looks like it's T50 which I haven't got, just want to make sure before I go out and buy one :thumb2

What's with the state of our fucking roads at the moment. If it's not potholes, it's screws and nails. I got a nail in mine the other day.:blast

Not sure what size the torx is though, sorry.:blast:D

Yup - it's confirmed as a T50. Snug as a bug in a rug.

Also tried a T55 (wouldn't fit the recess in the bolts) and a T45 (too much slack).

Get one of these, they are awesome. I keep one of these and a compressor in my top box. Works well with the damage caused by screws / nails. Happens a lot around London.

That's exactly what I've just bought.:thumb I've got a small under rack bag that this will go in, with some CO2 cartridges.:beerjug:

Good - make sure you bring it to Wales next week. You're the support vehicle:)

I drove from York to Manchester a week ago on the M62. I could not believe the state of the carriageway: it was like being in a 3rd world country. They weren't potholes, they were bloody big holes in the carriageway. Luckily I was in a car, as it would have been very dangerous to hit one if on a m'bike.

The autobahns here in Germany are certainly not as good as they are made out to be, but the M62 was in a shocking condition

Thanks WC. And thanks to Mike too who called me.
Bugger:blast
Is it fixable?
Tried the Stop 'N' Go, go the plug in fine but it was leaking air very slightly, tried another plug but still no luck. Took it to a mates car fitting shop, he was concerned about damaging the rim, went to another place who took the tyre off then refused to fix it or remount the tyre on the rim :blast went back to mates garage who then repaired it and then drove to another garage where they had the correct machine to remount it...... got it home and discovered the repair wasn't effective :blast
So a new tyre is needed. I'll check to see what it looses over night, if it's only a few lbs then I might run it for local riding.

Yep the Stop 'N' Go kits and even just a couple of CO2 canisters will certainly get you home or to the nearest garage :thumb2

Get one of these sets at £28.97 inc Vat from your local machine mart.

Clarke CHT144 40-Pce TORX® Spline & Bit Holder Set

I have the Draper Expert version (identical but costs more ??) and I use it all the time on cars and bikes, I'd feel lost without it when servicing the GSA.

The only problem with the stop n go is, where do you get replacement CO2 cylinders ?.
