Riding home last night I join the M6 at J19 as normal looking in my mirror on the slip I noticed a chap from work tailing me as he lives close by to me and takes a similar rout. Joint the MW up to the usual cruising speed and the chap was still behind and seemed to be lingering rather than going by.

Arrived in work this morning and see said chap who informs me that my rear wheel seems to be leaning over slightly at the top or to the left however you see it. He says the dark wear pattern when following also tells that the wheel appears to be leaning when riding or not running true.

Tyre (Apart from being squared) doesn’t show any unusual wear pattern, handling seems good.:nenau

So any ideas? Is this normal GS behaviour or is it possible swing arm bushes maybe?? or somthing else..

Bike has nearly 40K on it.

get the bike on the center stand and give the wheel a good push pull, your whell bearing is prob fecked

Wheel bearing seems fine no play on centre stand. MOT uses the strait edge front and back wheels are in line.. :nenau

Do you ride side saddle ? if not the chap following you is gay and is using the well known chat up rear observation line of a wonky wheel as an "in".

Check your pannier rack for alignment, it shifts a lot easier than the wheel bearing.

ps - Enjoy your NE friend ;)

My racks sit a bit closer together at the bottom I had them off in the recent past so probably need to re-arrange the little M6 spacer tubes.

It could however (just might) be a failed swing arm bearing that has dropped on side. Disconnect the shock and waggle the sing arm there should be no play at the swing arm pivot. Ditto the Paralever bearings at the FD.

I have one leg shorter than the other, also when I had the snip 5 years ago the doctor pulled too much cord through and I’ve never been able to straighten my left arm since..:doh

Now is he Gay.... who knows he's older fatter wears 2 piece black leathers and rides a gay black bird so may be..

The word "Gay" and "in" should be never used in the same sentence :nono

I think I’m just going to ignore it.. I can't see anything wrong and it all looks and feels tight.... Famous last words...

Got a new tyre on the way so well see what that wears like...

Bloody do gooder...
