Been a busy morning - looking at an old GS airhead. It's now mine, but what to do with it.....

Came with it's tank and seat which are in pretty good condition compared to the rest of it and the exhaust is a keihan full stainless system. Not bad for £200 :D

Whatever you do with it , it's a good pocket liner. Can't fault yer, what's that about the sun always shining on the righteous. If I fell in a barrel of tits, I would still end up sucking my thumb.:D

Just the sort of thing im looking for.

I have been searching for weeks and cant find anything lower than £2500!!!

I love a good project me......

Do your sums. Fixed up its worth? How much to fix? Or what can it get bit by bit? Remember labour to break. Personally I'd rather see something like that back on the road. But it can also be used to put a few bikes right so choices. Jjh

Scrap it or sell it on as a project and a quick little earner! You haven't got time to build that, it would eat into your coffee time!!

"flip it" as is for £1,500.... thats a fair margin with no faffing.

Yep, you don't have time to be doing a rebuild Neal...
time would be better spent on your customer hospitality suite, sofas, magazines, donuts... you know..!!:D:D:D

Thats loads better than the one you sold me! It just needs a good scrub.

To refresh your memory.

I've still got those crashbars if you need a pair :D

I guess you already know what to do with it steptoe as if you can use the parts it will have to be broken, is ther any interesting story to go with it, looks like it's just been run into the ground. I'd love to get my hands on a project like this sometime, not sure how often they come up though unless you are in the trade, probably even rarer here in ireland, the cost of transporting it here would work out to be a few hundred euro. Got great satisfaction completely rebuilding a badly decomposed autocycle that had been in the family since 1950. Great way to get to know the r100gs too, taking it all to bits and rebuilding it, it'd be almost like making one from scratch. Of course if you wanted to overland an airhead this will make great practice for tackling anything that might crop up on the road.

I'd have thought they're all potentially worth rebuilding these days, if you have most of the bits. There are enough being torn apart by the hipsters already.
