I’m saying nothing. :D

OK, I've now found my reference numbers on the registration document. My type approval starts E1 and the type number is 1R13, so it looks like my Nov 19 R1250 RS is one of the affected bikes. Possibly just as well that I have only been able to put 400 miles on so far, due to weather and lockdown.

I guess I will have to talk to the dealer and see when they can get it fixed.

e1*168/2013*00071*1R13

I've got the full house, pity it wasn't bingo numbers

Sorry Fred, I got them wrong way round and I need to get new glasses :blast
My type approval number is also E1* not EL* and the D.2 Type is 1G13.

Everything seems fine on mine even after the the odd offroad bashing. I mark all caliper and wheel bolts with security paint and check them regularly.
All good thus far so no need to push any panic buttons :augie :thumb
BMW will contact all where required.

Think we will all have the same type approvals, mine is listed and my bike was registered in May 2019, so the type just shows whether its a GS, RT, etc. The build date will determine if the parts used were defective, so as it says, from Oct 19 to Jan 20.

The full dates quoted are October 31st 2019 to January 30th 2020 so I wonder if my bike, delivered to the dealer in the last week of November was still being built within that window. I suppose given the time to transport to the UK distribution centre, and then to the dealer, with a bit of luck it might just have left the production line before Oct 31st.
