Just in case people are not aware of these amazing devices Recco Reflector
No batteries or anything you just hang it on your jacket of backpack and thats it.
you make others aware you wear it and if you ever go missing SAR can use their Recco device to find you
Quite common for people trapped under snow or under trees/bushes as the detector can see through what the human eye cant.
Only Used in Scotland in the UK at the moment but its still rolling out.
