recomend me some boots

as it says above. My akito's are in their final days (8 years and 2 trips up the road ) and i think their soles will be departing soon. I want gore tex not too many buckles and all day wearability. I am thinking about sidi courier - possibly too many buckles are they flexible enough for everyday use ? sidi canyon. have looked in the local bike shops but cant realy find what i want all the other boots are too sporty or just dont look sturdy enough so what else is out there dont want full on MX boots but i also dont want sporty touring boots. oh and warm and dry would be good

I've got the Oxtar Infinity GTX ones that BMW put a badge and another £100 on, and Hein Gericke also do the same boots rebadged. Gore-Tex, two buckles and comfy to wear all day.
Never let a single drop in during my rain lashed dash back from Skye last weekend.
My feet were the only bits that didn't get damp. Highly recommended. Even better than Sidi Couriers IMO.

Lowe mountain GTX for me as I have wide feet and cant find many to fit.

I did a tour of Norway in those this July, mainly cos it meant one pair of boots worked on and off the bike and I could get some air circulating in the heat, plus I get em free from work.

I have a pair of BMW Savanna boots , I only had them for 5 weeks . Didn't leak and very comfy. They are £210 but I am sure you can secure a 10% discount minimum.

I've had a pair of Altberg Clubmans for ten years plus, they've been used on road for touring and off road on the XR, still in good nick and fully waterproof, comfortable and you can walk in them .

I use Sidi terminator style off-road boots, for day to day use, mostly for the protection, and Daytona boots for wet weather riding. I'm a fair weather ridewr though, so the Daytona's are like new.

The Sidis are buckled up to the hilt and are not even remotely waterproof. They squeak when walking (liberal spraying with WD40 stops this for about 3 months each time), although walking in them is not at all comfortable. The Daytonas are very comfortable and waterproof (I used them when I was a courier in London) and reasonably priced.

Dare I suggest BMW's Rallye GS2 boots?

I got mine very cheap and only slightly secondhand off here. BMW say they aren't waterproof but I have so far ridden about 10K miles in mine in all weathers and they have not let water in once.
I believe Funners has had similar experience with with his.
Great boots and certainly the most comfortable MX type boot I have ever used.

A good mid-point boot ...

... between 'touring' and full on MX boots are the Dianese Virunga, I've had a pair for two years and they are a very comfy compromise. Don't be put off by the coloured panels as they do come in several 'quieter' shades

+1 on the GS2 boots, I find them very comfortable, however I went through water on the BMW offroad course and they did leak.

Aye, to clarify I meant they haven't leaked using them on the road, i.e. in rain.
I've yet to find an MX boot that doesn't leak when fording.

"Altberg' - Hogg All Weather Boots, can't fault them.
Kept my pigglets dry every time i needed them to;
Good support in vulnerable areas (ankles/heels/toes);
Last forever if maintained (only had to change laces so far, in ten years moderate wear)
Also v comfy to walk in
