I'm after a 24" or 27" monitor for general home work use. I'm currently wading though the online reviews and deals, wondered if anyone here has any recommendations ?

Specs wise, connections: HDMI, DVI, maybe Displayport. resolution: HD.

I went with a Samsung TV/Monitor. Multi HDMI, Scart, Component, TV tuner, no buttons - all touch sensitive (so very clean lines), super thin and all for £300 and it doubles as a TV. I think mine is 32" just because they were doing a deal but I use the 27" version at work and it's great.

H Mav, Thanks for that, it sounds like it will more than do the job, do you have a model no for the 27" ?

Not too sure I've got the room for a 32".

thanks

Any 1080p tv will do a good job so long as you don't want to do gaming on them because they don't have the refresh rate that a dedicated monitor has. You will get one for £100-£150. As soon as you want massive resolutions and gaming refresh rates though then you need to look at expensive monitors. That said your also looking at expensive graphics cards as well.

Don't bother getting anything that has a lower resolution than your GPU output.

What's the point? :nenau

Kaister

Hey Kaister, have you seen one of those monitors from Korea ? If yes, are they any good ?

Specs look unbelievable for the price.

Did a lot of digging before ending up with an Asus, 27".
Ridiculously fast refresh rate. Very good quality. Good price.
