Excellent bit of kit, using it to type this, quick enough, decent memory and battery life (7Hr) is really good. Also used it with a BT Mobile 3g/HSDPA dongle and worked a treat. Keyboard is also of a usefull size. We started with an EEPC type one but that ran Linux and I couldnt get the dongle to work, the keyboard was a bit too small and the screen resolution was no where near as good as this one.
Oh yeah, Sammy is running Windows XP this came as default
Any questions let me know (not a geek or a guru but I do have one)
+1 - NC10 what the other folks have said. Tapping away on my one now.
Very happy with my NC10, owned mine for about six months. I take it pretty much everywhere with me, on the bike too, very durable.
Have recommended them to a few other folks, know a couple of folks very happy with it.
You can get a lot fancier if you want to spend serious cash (which you don't of course).. But anyway before I moved to the NC10 I was using a Sony Vaio TX1 series which finally gave up the ghost when I dropped it. An equivalent replacement was £12-1400; I thought I would try the NC10, if it didn't fit the bill then I could flog it or keep it as a spare and get another fancy one. Still using the NC10 though which I guess says a lot.
One thing- you might need a proper sleeve/cover for it as the one supplied is just a fabric slip cover.
