RECOMMEND ME A ROUTE

Hiya

Im off to the Algrave the later part of this week,going to Santander,
I rode down the middle of Portugal via the Picos in May ish this year and it was great spent 5 days getting down there.

Im thinking of staying in Spain and sort of rideing down paralell to the border ish through Salamanca ish, Eventually ending up in Lagos for a spot of sailing.

Any body got any routes/roads down and up to recommend?

I have a zumo550 so can use route maps if any are avaliable.

The road from Avila to Placensai takes you through the Valle de Jerte, which is fantastic, dropping from a plateau into a lovely valley. Well worth checking out

As above, David Woods route in mapsource, El Barco de Ávila to Plasencia. 42miles it does look good in Google Earth, especially the Northern end.
