Recommend me an end can .....

Just a quick note, 1000 miles into the Arrow ownership and I spotted a small problem, if the pannier's are fitted and the baffle is out, the gases seem angled perfectly to warm up and de laminate my number plate. With the baffle in it didn't happen, but a few hundred miles with the baffle out and it's warmed the plate up enough to cause it. I'm just going to order a pressed metal plate for the bike and that's the end of the problem, it could of course just be a bad plate, but I suspect not, especially after wringing it's neck around Wales and down to visit the parents in Telford this weekend.

Any news on your Termignoni Rick?

No news as yet so still waiting but the bloke has sent me a load of titanium bolts to keep me happy !

Has anyone tried the AC Schnitzer end can?
Not on my LC but had an AC Schnitzer on my twin cam, essentially they are a rebadged Remus, nicely finished and with a raspy sound, not sure they are worth the price premium over a Remus though :nenau

Aftermarket cans

Fitted a secondhand Akra to my 2011 and to be honest not too impressed with the sound, not much different to the stock can. Anyone fitted a Yoshimura RS3? I want the bike louder for reasonable dosh

Anyone know how to get the baffle out of a HP bmw AKRA. and once its out can it be refitted so that it stays in if you want it to?

Its usually held in with a single screw accessible from the outside of the pipe near the end. Undo this the the baffle should just pull out. It may be jammed in if its never been out so tug gently with pair of long nose pliers. Maybe spray some WD40 down the end.

Thanx. Just took them out. Got to say I'm rather disappointed......2 metal rings !! Cant start the bike up just yet but cant see that making much of a difference. Does it ??? :nenau

I have the full Akra system and I wouldn't want it any louder, even with baffles in. Never tried it with just the end pipe, so maybe the cat adds a lot of quietness on the stock system.

Ther's a mechanical flap next to the cat which is designed to reduce noise!

I've got Remus headers (so no cat or flappy valve thing) and a Akra can with dB killers removed. My mates say it sounds brilliant when they're following me and they can hear when I get on the power. To me it sounds fantastic, but then I am a bit deaf! :D

This arrived today

After my trial and tribulations trying to get a termignoni i gave up and ordered this which arrived today !

I have to say I am very pleased and will post fitted pics and sound later

Does anyone here have de-catted headers but with the stock can?
Just wondering how much louder the stock can would sound....?
I'm tempted to go down the header route first, then if need be get a can later....

I'm selling my Arrow if anyones looking :) it's in the FS&W section as I've PX'ed the GS.

I do. It's a bit louder - same tone, just a bit gruffer and louder, but very acceptable
