recommend nas and media player

storage at least 1tb for home network + media player needs to be hd , optical out , etc.
any ideas .

I'd separate the requirements.

Do your 1TB with SATA on a standard PC, and then use any of the media extenders for connecting to TVs etc.

then i would have to switch the pc on

i use a laptop , the network storage unit would run 24-7, and be accesable from anywhere.
anyway im lookin optical out , hdmi 1080p, and the rest , one wired and one wireless.
