So the red light came on whilst riding today on my k1200s no accompanying signage at all seems to slightly fade and then go bright but not revs related. Any clues - no funny noises. Bike has had the ABS removed and runs fine before this.

Apologies
I shall try harder!K1200s 2005, 22,000 some service history, new rad ABS delete was done before my oenership, the general red light, triangle no associated brake failure light, no accompanying other info on the dash

it's a scrapper , i'll do you a favour , give me £50 to take it away for you.....

just cos both brake light switches work , and the rear lamp comes on ...doesn't mean the same signal gets to the dash.

get someone to plug it in, to at least put you into the system that is failing/failed.

First step, check the obvious like the rear brake light comes on when your use the lever/foot pedal. Oil level is normal, engine runs without new rattles/knocks.

Plug it into a GS911 or similar and pull up any diagnostic trouble codes.
