I just have to ask the question I know similar have been asked before but perhaps this will be a new slant?

And If it's asked it can be discussed?

A majority don't like the North South Divide idea , Which I'm not a fan of, BUT it does give some depth to the distances involved in a meet or a run etc etc etc

So avoiding all political entities that folks may want to accuse me off,
Where You'll be all wrong!
I'd just like our section to have a bit more craic off some folks that sit on the sidelines?

What about the 4 Provinces???? Ulster, Connacht, Lienster, Munster??

Everyone knows where they live and "Maybe" there might be some more action in here?

Thoughts Please? Sensible ones If ya don't like the idea or it isn't possible then just say :thumb

I'm not sure what you mean Jay and I'm not aware of any north/south divide

Lots of runs/events are organised in many parts of Ireland and if people want to attend they make the effort.

I wouldn't be in favour of any division into regions.

That's only my feeling anyway :aidan

there are only a few of us on the island anyway and if you start to devide the few there are up it would lead to very small groups
anyone who wants to go on a run or event will go
the think about any gs is the further away a run is the better
as for the reigons i am sure everyone meets up with there local tossers when there is no site do on
i think things are grand as they are and as for the north south devide there are people who will cross the border and there are those who will head (to use there words not mine)to the main land.:augie

No I wasn't saying there was a divide I was yarning wi a couple of folks off here who mentioned the size of the country and that they reckoned that it should be split?

I just thought I'd put forward an idea for the "Collective" to bounce around

A bit like the PRC an thier Curry night, I was up for it till realised where it was LOL, I suppose Cork in the Title would have helped

I just have visions of tootering home up the road from it needin to borrow Tossers bogs all the way home and being a stone lighter when I got back LOL

And how many of these folks have organised a night out/run/event ?

As I see it if a member in the Ireland forum wants to organise something then they should just do it and if folk want to go then they will. If it's requires an over night then it's up to the individual.

If it's not broke, don't fix it :thumb

Those of us who've been here a while will remember that the Forum used to be split into 2 sections, North and South. The Northern bit was moderated by Charles, Southern bit by Pthag.

And it was crap.

Some of us around Greater Belfast used to meet on an occasional Sunday morning and have a run, same few half dozen every time, local-ish runs, finished after lunch and everybody went home. The Southern guys 'n' gals seemed to rarely meet for a run at all, except at the annual gatherings organised by Pthag.

I was initially against the proposal to unite both sections of the Forum, but must now admit that it's been great and I've enjoyed meeting so many GSers from the South and many new folks from the North.

Leave it be :thumb2

Jay, sounds like your trying to organise a fish dash/curry night:fnikefork for the four provinces and the bit that was thrown into the Irish Sea, now know as the Isle of Man.

Where ever it is were in:thumb2

ps.... you might consider changing the Title of this thread:D
