I've been tickled by Geoff.
I've only been and gone and done it.

Always fitted loud pipes to my previous bikes, so stood to reason i would end up putting one on the 1200.

It's never run very well and with the new pipes and can fitted it ran even worse AND a fucksight noisier

I know, i'll give Hilltop a call and see what they say, that was at 12.00pm............. 9.30am the next morning i'm pitching up outside, booked in to have a fettle of the ECU

I explained what the trouble was and what i'd done to it, then

Geoff

explained the who, why, whats and whens in language i could understand and went to work.

A couple of hours later he grins and sez "my work here is done"

I had to give up the gixer thou because of bad back, knees, neck, wristes and failing eye sight. (Yeah yeah i know its called old age

) so thought i would get a sensible bike thats a bit kinder on the old joints and 'er in doors enjoys getting on the back of, but i was almost regretting the choice. lumpy slow rideing and lacking in umph! when it came to making progress two up.
But for the cost of a remap (some may say not cheap) as far as i'm concerned its well worth it, i think i've got a completely different bike, smooth as silk and not to loud in town on a whiff of throttle, but leave the 30mph limits behind and crack the throttle open

no need to ring its neck, keep revs between 3-6 thou and it pulls like a train.
50 mile from home to Hilltop 42.1mpg. fast motorway/dual carriageway.
165mile ride home 46.3mpg????? fast every where, motorway, A & B roads.
Some figures.....
gain of 22.29bhp 107.27 up from 84.98

gain of 27.33torque things 85.66 up from 58.33
