Probably an unusual question but there's a reason behind it.
I bought a BMW System 5 helmet for using over the winter and it had a 'Hyperoptic' stick on visor insert which is supposed to darken in the sun. Mine never did, just stayed a yellowy colour, plus the sticky edge was just in my line of sight while wearing it.
After a bit of research, they all stop working after a period of time so decided to remove it with a hair dryer to soften the glue.
Came off no problem but took much of the inside visor coating with it!
It's usable but would prefer to remove all of it as a low sun might cause problems with flare. Don't feel like spending £50 on a new one.
Any suggestions? Some kind of solvent maybe?
