Mike,
Are you saying that the black rubber "Top hat" type nuts deform and tighten up? I have some rubber pipe that will make some spacers to snug it all up a bit.
Stewart

Yes just tighten them up until there squashed...Your soon feel when there tight. Mine did the same until I tightened them and its perfect now. :thumb2

Had an MRA on my 1150GS, until a pheasant flew into it and broke it. Went on to refit the original screen, with tobinators and a Touratech screen extender. I found this setup to be better than the MRA.

Pardon the free bump but now the 1150 is gone the screen extender is in the for sale section looking for a new home :augie

I've got the MRA replacement screen - it's good but not perfect - still get a fair bit of turbulence . I understand that Tobinators cannot be used with the standard 1100 screen - can they be used with the MRA screen ? Has anyone fitted tobinators to an MRA screen on an 1100 -if so did they make any difference?

Could someone who has successfully fitted their MRA with the lightweight tophat bits post a photo please?

I am a bit paranoid about tightening them up too far in case the screen cracks, but at the moment they are too wobbly.

As far as the best mod I have done to quieten the bike and make riding it less waring......put the std can back on! After borrowing Steptoe's loaner, I decided I can live without the Remus NOISE all the time. Now the GS is back in stealth mode.

Screens

have had a copuple of wundelich sreens very good but they are wider especially at the bootm and if it falls ovcer the screen breaks!. Now use std. screen (1150) and tried a TT extenstion, very good indeed but so good it keeps the wind from clearing rain from the visor. But comes ofd quick so think this is the answer for me any way

Buffeting is bad when I wear my Caberg Justissimo helmet but negligible when I wear my flat sided Simpson super Bandit....:nenau
