Hi folks,
Have finally got back to a Beemer and am going to fit handlebar risers like my old GS
Only thing is I remember the front brake line was under a bit of tension once they were installed (something a the a Vines pointed out too) and ideally should be rerouted to run behind the yoke instead of in front of it. It didn't really cause and problems in the 20,000 miles I put on it, but if it's a simple job I'll do it.
Question is, without ever having touched brake lines before, is it a simple job - if I disconnect the hose from the reservoir on the handlebars does the fluid all squirt out or do brake lines have some sort of valve so that I could just disconnect, reroute and reconnect?
If it's more involved I'll wait till its next service and have it done by a professional (*cough* steptoe *cough*)
